The founders of High Country started initial trips to the Atlas Mountains in 1986 with individual expeditions to explore these great mountain ranges.  After moving here in 1990 and working as a free lance Instructor, interest in the heartland of the Atlas has intensified. High Country has been operating since 1997, giving a unique service here in Morocco.

Our staff who are certified in the United States, England, or here with us in Morocco, will make sure you are more than taken care of. Everything from risk management to wilderness medical training skills is covered by any expedition leader you will have with you.

Whether it is climbing Toubkal, crossing the Sahara, Trekking in the High Atlas, or experiencing Moroccan culture, High Country specializes in custom built trips to suit different tastes.

Our corporate clients have included National Geographic, Emerson, Microsoft, Land Rover, Mercedes, Philips and many others.

Schools often ask us to organize a combination of adventure activities with cultural insights.

And some of what we do is simply passing on information and helping people organize their own trips.
